By teaming up with the DNA Zoo team who generated HiC structural data to upgrade our high-quality hybrid genome assemblies, we are releasing two new chromosome-scale genome assemblies for the giant anteater (Myrmecophaga tridactyla) (https://www.dnazoo.org/post/on-the-shoulders-of-giants) and the southern tamandua (Tamandua tetradactyla) (https://www.dnazoo.org/post/the-ant-hunter). The new chromosome scale assemblies and annotations can be found here:

Stay tuned for more chromosome-scale assemblies of ant-eating mammal genomes produced by the nascent ConvergeAnt/DNAZoo collaboration!
