Rémi and Frédéric participated in a collaborative project led by Damien de Vienne (CNRS, Lyon University, France) with the aim of developing an efficient bioinformatic tool to identify and remove outlier sequences and genes in phylogenomic datasets. The resulting tool PhylteR is freely available from github (https://github.com/damiendevienne/phylter) and is described in a method paper published in Molecular Biology and Evolution (doi:10.1093/molbev/msad234). PhylteR is used in the ConvergeAnt project to identify outlier sequences in phylogenomic datasets assembled from OrthoMaM (https://orthomam.mbb.cnrs.fr/).
